Fun fact: Female hyenas in real life have appendages to their vaginas, like an external tubular entrance. It's a horrible design for birthing, which causes them extraordinary pain, as well as a higher than normal mammalian deathrate while giving birth. Most people see it and assume she's male, as it looks very much like a penis. .
